Warm Starting Issue

Post by Nick1307 » Wed Jun 13, 2018 8:38 pm

1988 1.7 ES now running like a dream however if you switch it off it doesent start. If I keep turning over it eventually stutters into life. If I leave for 5/10mins it flies back into life. Dosent seem to be overheating, new thermostat fitted. Any advice greatly recieved, thank you

Glasgowjim had something similar. Next time, try opening the fuel tank cap! I think his vent was blocked.‎

There could of course be many other reasons! You will find help here though. ‎

I had a turbo that did this and I never did get to the bottom of it though.‎
