I'm struggling to work out which main fanbelt to get for my 2.00L GT. Unfortunately the old belt was shredded so I cannot get any measurements. On eBay there seems to be two sizes (1547mm and 1560mm). Any ideas?

I've never had a 2.0 or a 480 with aircon but my money would be on one belt being for air-con compressor and the other not.
To narrow it down, try using Skandix website with your VIN. Mister-Auto is also pretty good too.

On 480s with air-con there are two belts - the alternator runs off a belt connected to the air con compressor with a second belt off the air con compressor pulley to water pump, PS etc. It's a narrow belt (alternator pulleys differ for air-con/non air-con).
Air con is three track belt, non-aircon is 6 track belt. That might help you identify the right one.
Have looked at technical info - assuming as a GT yours is post chassis no 565990 (mine is, starting 58....) the belt numbers for air con (three track belt) was 3450074-4 (the air-con pulley was part no 3344762-4) non-ac belt was 3473195-0. Might help if you can get a cross-reference?

A mixture of Skandix VIN lookup and part no. lookup did it. I have ordered the 1555mm 6 rib one.
