What is this cable/wire for?

I found this cable/wire disconnected in my car and don't Know what's is for. Someone could help me?
I cannot post the photo because it says is too spamy..., the wire came in the same wire guide from the inside just were the abs wires came, is thin with two plastic round ends in each part that fits one in another.

Doesn't look like something that came from the Volvo factory. The connectors are different. Could be from an accessory (alarm?) that has already been removed. I would not worry about it.

A disconnected wire from a removed diagnosis unit?

Were the 2 connectors black? I found a disconnected wire outside a loom near the air filter and reconnected it just in case. I don't seem to have noticed anything different since then.

They sound the diagnostic plugs, I'd disconnect again. You'll probably have a couple more on the front panel near the OS headlamp.

Will try and find the guide to using them, (someone else may beat me to it)
