AFM turbo/no turbo

Post by amazontommy » Fri Oct 28, 2016 7:44 pm

Is there any diference between the AFM on a turbo and a standard ES on the -88 models?
Just in case a good cleaning doesn't fix the strutting.

Yes, there absolutely is a difference. Turbo uses Bosch Jetronic with hot wire air flow meter, N/A car uses different management and as far as i know don't have a flow meter but rather a MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure) which is a different method of calculating the amount of air entering the engine.
