Hi Folks,

Just found out that I need the middle and back section for my car, it's blowing pretty badly. The garage have quoted me £400 for the parts because they'll need to be custom made. Does anyone have any sensible suggestions for where I can get a decent quality exhaust?

Cheers and many thanks!

Tee

Hey Gltease,

Thanks for the update, is this a company you've used before? Does that item represent the middle and back section for my model?

Sorry, I'm pretty clueless about these things!

Cheers

I'd try another garage. Although I haven't bought an exhaust for a while I think what they mean is that their suppliers don't do them.

Bosal used to have all of our exhausts available. Maybe look on their website, identify the part number then ring a supplier yourself?

Unbelieveable , dont accept that price it is cheaper to go to kwik fit who will order it in with a trun around of 2/3 days tops + you get a lifetime warrenty :D

I have amiddle section new unfitted for a 92 year but 1992 was a transition year so there are 2 types of exhaust you would need to lie under the car and check the join at the cat is it a push fit or a flange ?

if it is a flange then you can buy the exhuast from me for £25 + courier costs. Will try and get photos for you of the end as I reorganised the shed of max density last week.

Centre section for '92 1.7 , Euro carparts.

I'm not sure (maybe someone can correct me) 92 was a transitional year , later 1992 cars may have had 1993 bits , the above exhaust bits have a note on them valid up to 09/92

So the centre section is £50.00 and the rear part if £77 plus £40 for fitting, that's going to be £167.00, maybe a bit more if there's VAT on the labour.

Halfords have quoted me £201 for getting the whole lot done including warranties for the parts and labour; it's only another £34 so I may as well just go for it....

Thoughts?

Also, thanks so much all of you guys, you're awesome! :-)

Cheers and big virtual hugs! :-D :bla: :hopping:

Looks like you will be out as much going either route, halfords might be handiest though...
