Timing wheel pattern B18F

All the information you need on engine-problems is here. The engine includes the Turbo-charger, airco and everything else you'll find under the bonnet.

Timing wheel pattern B18F

Post by RickS » Thu Oct 23, 2014 1:44 pm

Hi chaps and chappesses.....
Could someone point me in the direction of where I might find out what the timing wheel pattern is in my 1994 B18F please..? Interweb didn't turn up anything useful but I might have been looking in the wrong place.

Is it something 'normal' like a 60-2 or a 36-1 or something a little more exotic (seem to recall some 44-2-2 or similar). As far as I can tell, there's no cam tooth/teeth to worry about.

I'm not being lazy, it's just that I don't really want to drop the gearbox out, just to count teeth...!

Thanks in advance,
Rick
PS/Edit.... Found a thread in here re. the 'Turbo' timing wheel.... Is the non-Turbo version the same..? If the type of wheel changed in 1994, I might be on the cusp..! .WAV file is a good call and DTA do something similar with their ECUs....
