Cam Shaft Oil Seals

Post by Flying Dutchman » Fri Aug 22, 2014 7:57 am

I probably need to change the cam shaft oil seals on my 480 Turbo 1990. The car doesn't always start immediatly. I have to run it on the starter a few seconds to long, to feel happy about it.

The front side can wait until I change the belt, but I wanna know the size of the seals in both ends as Volvo has stopped selling them, and only could give me the parts.no - not the measures.

The info I got says:

Front - 25x42x7mm
Rear - 22x45x7mm

Is that correct?

Replace the camshaft seals when it starts leaking oil, or maybe when you do the cambelt.
They're not going to affect starting.
Scandisk do the right seals, and they're not expensive.
