edit: according to that thread it is a switch for the electric water pump...so that would explain open circuit at lower temps

tested the temp sensor for auxilliary water pump today cold and hot and i mean very hot and no reading whatsover 'no reading from spare either ? so suspecting that both are broke and maybe fragile sensors ?

strange that if two switches have gone. My reading of Robou's post was that this or a similar unit should go from open circuit to closed when 100 degrees C was passed...(so infinite resistance to just about zero resistance). I've never tried it with this switch tho so could be sending you up the wrong path...just don't like to spend money where not needed...

For science: if it was mine I would wire one up to an AA battery and a bulb then use a flame to heat the switch :). If you were going to chuck it anyway nothing lost

Just ignore me if you have had enough of trying :kill:
