Good Question.

Straight answer is I do not know.

However, try pulling back the covers and check the cable colours. Then look at the wiring diagram for the area where you found them to see what was fitted to that combination of cable colours.

Earth strap from something, no idea where though.
Doesnt look thick enough for starter, doesnt look thin enough for lights and small things.
Possibly off the battery negative. Mine was a flat braided earth, but about that length
