Hi Guys.
I found a 480 turbo I might consider buying but it has a few problems.
One of them is : water pouring out of the water pump on the side.
Seems to come from the water pump itself.... might be a gasket or might be the water pump itself broken, kinda hard to say.
Engine starts and turns smooth but as soon as you start it water will blow out of the water pump. The owner might have let the car out in the cold while the engine was cooled with water only instead of coolant.
Now, question is:
Can the water pump be changed without taking down the timing belt ?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Water pump
a second hand water pump is only £15.
you will need a gasket
jack up car
remove drivers side front wheel
position axle stands
remove the black plastic protector "plate"
you can now see the engine
drain coolant.
slacken the fan belt
remove the belt from the car
now undo the bolts remove pump and gasket replace with a new gasket and pump
not difficult job.
good luck
