Wont start after alarm reset

Hi.

This morning I accidentally set my Clifford alarm off. Once switched off the alarm was doing silly things like unlocking and locking the doors again and again. It settled down a bit and the immobiliser switched off and I started the car as normal. During running the car the alarm was still switching the central locking on and off so I decided to turn off the car and reset the alarm by removing the negative from the battery (which I have done before okay). I did this and it sorted out the doors, but now my car will not start...it's not the immobiliser as that kills the power to the starter....it turns over but will not fire up.

It all happened within a very short space of time. I have checked the battery and it reads 12.3 so should be enough to start it. I'm leaving the negative off for a longer time atm to see if it helps. Very odd....any help would be gr8

Hi...well not sure exactly. I kept the negative off for a bit longer (can't see how that help though really) checked all connections and unplugged the idle control valve connector and reconnected, nothing really that would help. I wonder whether my engine temperature sensor is ok, cause I have noticed that occasionally after starting my car when it's hot it can run very lumpy, almost sounds like it's misfiring, for a short while or until I pull off/rev the engine. Don't know...just glad it started...good old 480

Needless to say I didn't set the Clifford tonight
