on further clean up of the head my sunopsis is DET

the mistakes of running lean i guess, ooops

now i have the head striped ive seen how tiny the exhaust ports are
so im gona have them machined out wilst the head is being repaired
an also have the inlets dun too.

im also gona spunk some money on a new cam BUT WICH 1 HELP!!

im also gona send a head bolt off to arp an have a stud and nut kit made as ive bin informed that i also had head lift, any 1 else suffered this?

theres also a chance of me having a tripple layered metal head gasket made, IS IT WORTH IT??

answers on post cards please lol

damn.... this week the same issue happened to my engine, it's like copy and paste :)
In my case, 3 years ago when i changed a valve, i didn't restrenghtened the head after 500km, and that is the cause the gasket failure in my opinion. When i taked of head 2 days ago, i found the bolts slacke.

do you guys use new head bolts. i believe they are expansion bolts and once stretched the torque settings will be out.

Did you check the manual for the right procedure to tighten the headbolts? It's a pretty special method. Maybe the gasket failure is due to not using this method for tightening and re tighten the headbolts?

the gasket failure is due to it running lean at 26 psi boost spikes an holding 20 psi

possibly an injector went down
