Sorry mate, but in that case the haynes manual is wrong, the map sensor on a turbo is inside the ECU, and the bit with three pipes going to it bolted to the bulkhead is the boost control solenoid.
And anyway, didn't you buy mine off e-bay? I'm sure I sent it to Barnstaple (to be honest I could have dropped it off in my lunch hour!) I clearly advertised it correctly as a boost control solenoid.....
Edit2 - yes, you did
Think you got a bargain there at £2.99 all in!
He he i just checked and i was wrong I'll hold my hand up.. lol sorry
And yeah it was me lol, and it was a bargin as it's always handy for a spare lol...
Where do you live then bud ?

I live near Burnham-on-Sea, but I work in South Molton, (hence my high mileage!) so I sometimes pop into Barnstaple for stuff on my lunch hour...

It might have a V8, a huge cubic capacity, 4 wheel drive, loadsa gismo's, and be ultra reliable....... but honestly, does it have as much character as the 480?
i think not.

I have to admit, when I see a 480, which isn't very often now, and I'm doing 36k per year, I do think "awww"

No offence mate, but....look at your car!
I doubt I'll get another 480 tbh, I spent several years getting all the best bits - palm beach, leather, unfaded clusters etc etc, and sold it all last year - doubt I would find another one the same nowadays.
