wheres the air temp sensor

is it true that air temp sensor can sometimes cure high idle problems ,have renewed idle valve with no success ,the other is where is it ,is it on the pipes leading to the turbo and is it tubular with a brass element running through it? 89 turbo.

b18ft has no air temp sensor, it has MAF

hello buddy.i dont know abowt turbos but i had a high idle after a quick thrash. everything drastic and dramatic went through my mind thinking id damaged 't' engin. the throttle stop screw had vibrated in at full thrash it was that loose. so simple and cheap i didnt spot it until much head and chin scratching had taken place.

might be worth a look.

hi,it only increases when at operating temp then stays there, ive even changed the maf for another one with no result,everything has been cleaned out ,all pipes removed checked and made sure nothing is leaking but still nothing

might be a bad lambda or a dodgey engine temp sensor. otherwise it might just well be the dreaded icv thats playing up.

i have recently replaced with another but the same ,i know there the fact that this might be buggered as well?
