engine underside protection

engine underside protection
I have a nice 2mm thick stainless stells sheet of metal and as my car is lowered tought of making a engine underside protection plate out of it. Do any of you have this kind of a thing and are there any ideas how to do it?

2mm stainless steel isn't the easiest material too work with. (folding,cutting, etc)
Perhaps you could saw some strips of (about) 30mm wide and screw them to the orginal plating?
