Is my turbo going?

Now and again i get a bit of white-ish smoke in my mirror once i lift off, and now and again it struggles to boost and sometimes it don't at all. Then today i noticed a metal against metal kind of sound when the turbo was spooling up and not as much power as normal. As i write this it does seem the worst but just hoping its a part and not the whole turbo. Thanks Sham

Sounds like it might well be, the smoke is a sign that the bearings might be going and this might give you a bit of play on the shaft so the vanes are touching the sides, so I would stope boosting and get somone to have a look otherwise you might turn a dear job into a f*#king dear job!!!
