Major turbo problem?!

Post by slouie » Sun Jul 13, 2008 1:47 pm

À few days ago a went for quite a long ride whit a trailer behind my 480.
The car was really working to get forwarts.
But when the trailer was off suddenly the enginge get f@@k.
This means when i put my foot down on the accelerator it goes great until my turbo needle gets around the middle then the engine stops voilently until i put my foot off the pedal.
I can also hear a very hard pssst sound under hood.
Its sound like the wastegate,i already checked for disconnecting hosses but can"t find anything.
Suggestions where to begin?
Sorry for my poor english

It might be the anti knock sensor or if its over boosting it might be the fuel pressure safety device cutting in ?

Check all your boost hoses again, sounds like you've got a hose come off or split and its running lean. Either that or the vacuum/boost hoses to the boost solenoid have split or come off. Cheers, Edd :)

Problem is solved!!
Many thanks for the response!
It was indeed a lose tube.
It was the tube that goes from the exhaust to the intercooler.
I had a open airfilter that was not propper tied so it moved a lot what cost the connection by the dumpvalve and airintake havely moving and puled the tube that goes on the metal pipe to get loosening!
