Hello!!!
Im missing this forum.Audifans site is cool but been here sooo long
Shortly before I took the Charger off the road,I had put about £40 worth of fuel in her.
So,I want this fuel in the Audi.
Whats the easiest and quickest way of draining the tank.I seem to remember on the 480 syphoning isnt even an option..
Can somebody help the Groomus?
Steve

or you could always disconnect the fuel line from the little flying saucer like widget in the engine bay (on the drivers side i think?), pop the hose into a container and turn the key and let the pump do the work for you. i found that the petrol line had become a bit brittle on mine so might be easiest to just cut it in the engine bay if you don't intend on repair...

Way I did it was as suggested by Team volvo HQ + worked a treat. Basically disconnect the fuel return line and connect a bit of pipe and pop it in a bucket/container. No get a battery and rip up the carpet that runs along tghe centre console. Now on the loom locate the fuel pump wire. Cut it and then connect the engine side of it to the battery positive. Connect up the big negative cable and sit back as your fuel pump pumps a 1/2 litre a minute into your recepticle. Easy peasy!!!!!

Only way unless your going to start cutting fuel lines.
Not go down on that pump and pump it like you never pumped before!

remove the input fuel line on the rail, connect it with a bigger hose to a collecting can and jumper the fuel pump relay.

8-Bore shotgun and a paddling pool underneath! Just give her both barrells and hope for the best.

Bonkers!HA!
It just happens that I have a union by my front suspension turret which is on the fuel return line (dont ask why!).
So if I undo this, connect another pipe and energise my pumpus, will it fill my bucket?Pack that up!!!
I think "yes"..

Just what I was thinking...
Currently on Volvo 440 number 4, and after scrapping my first 480, I will get another one when space/money allows it.
