bad idle

OK tonight my 480 has started to get a fucking bad idle. Installed mbc this morning?


I don't think it's linked. What do you think?

what dump valve have ou got, was there not something about the 480 requires a twin piston one or else it will suffer from bad idel, might be now your running higher boost it can cope.

unless you have a dv26 then you should be fine, could be fuelling or youve fooked something with all your speeding about :rofl:

I got a dv26! I'll look tomorrow. I bad the same problem when my air intake came off.

bad idels can range from a dirty idel sensor, i heard that on the 440s the idel valves get very hot and are prone to failure, the new oil heat that your gettign whilst running high boost could be effecting the valve, if so them rap it in heat proof material, or do what my m8 did and put a cold air feed to it.

Or maybe you've disrupted a vacuum line somewhere or loosened a bolt on the manifold to fit the mbc?? Check bolts and hoses...

Did you not seal the "spare" pipeline properly whnen you fitted yer mbc?
