?auto choke? where is the temperature sensor?

Post by serseq » Tue Jan 06, 2004 1:09 am

My water pump don´t work when the engine is runing, it only works for a few moments when I turn the key off, and the engine don´t run well when it´s cold, so I beleave it must be the auto choke sistem !!?? Coul´d it be?? Tank´s to all.

P.S.- How can I get the Manual of the 480 turbo? Any PDF´s?

I think that there is nothing wrong with the symptoms you describe.
Firstly the there is no "autochoke" the fuelenrichment for the cold start is regulated by the injectionsystem with the aid of an enignetempearturesensor. Only if the engine does not properly start whem hot then it is time to have questions on the working off the temperaturesensor for the fuelinjectionsystem.

On the matter of the waterpump do not worry.
The pump you mean is the auxiliary watrepump and is supposed to work for a more or less short time after switching off the enigine.
The main waterpump is mechanical and driven by a belt.
Good CEM
