Conversion to turbo ?

Post by jaxone » Sun Feb 19, 2012 3:12 pm

Hello forum.

I am new here and planing to buy a 480. I had one of these cars back in 94 and I decided now to buy another one now. Why now ... I don't know, I just fell for it again :)
I live in Denmark and I only found the non turbo version for sale. I think there are only 2 cars for sale in whole Denmark with turbo. One mint condition and a price tag of 5200Eur (insane imho), and the other one is almost a wreck.
I would buy one from UK where there are many for sale but the steering on the right is a show stopper for me :)

But I found 2 more with no turbo and I was thinking at a conversion.

How hard it is to make the conversion ? I am not thinking at the mechanical work, that I can do, no problem. What I am thinking at are :
- Are there any electrical things to be modified ? (wires, gauges, instruments)
- Are there any mechanical changes in terms of gearbox, drive shafts etc ?

Thank you in advance.

not exactly what you want but if you search the forum OR read through the tuning section you will find what you are looking for

I can buy one in Germany yes, I am looking there also but I would like to get a cheap one and restore it myself and also make the conversion.
You learn so much by doing things yourself :)
