Anyone got idea if faulty engine temp sensor could do something like this? I remember there was a loose connector on the front of the engine when looking at the engine bay. I plugged it back in without any effect what so ever. Maybe it is broken?
Only non working section on computer is the oil temp sensor. The oil level sensor works ok so it can't be that right?

Well my point originally wasn't the computer at all. As I know the ECU has different temp sensor on the engine. I was just pondering what is the sensor on front of the engine that was unplugged. But I think I'll just measure it and see if it has any effect on the car

The situation remained the same before and after the head was changed.
But is there an easy way of checking the timing? I remember there were markings on the pulleys when I changed the timing belt. They were correct at that time.

Hmm,
Unbolting the valve cover and put a magnetic dial gauge on the cam and turn the engine.
This should be compared to the position of the crank (normally indicated on the pulley)

I just check the power curve and it is very low and messy!
Only around 60hp@ 4800 rpm and maximum torque of 109NM@ 2100rpm.
Compared to 109hp@5800rpm and 145Nm@4000rpm...

I measured the MAP-sensor it is this right?
I couldn't measure it while the car was running as it didn't run at all if it was disconnected. But these figures show that it seems to be healthy? Also the pipe seemed to be in good condition, no cracks.
So how about the ECU... What models should fit mine?
I found out these models
480 S/ES 1.7 litre (B18E) 88-92
Bendix/Siemens
S 100 803 102
Fenix 3A
S 100 803 102F
S 100 803 102G
S 100 803 102H
480 S/ES 1.7 litre (B18E) 89-92
Bendix/Siemens
S 101 290 101
Fenix 3
S 101 290 101 D
S 101 290 101 E
S 101 290 101 F
So should the S 100 803 102 and S 101 290 101 be both combatible for my engine or do I have to have matching numbers?
