I thought my car was fine until today when someone said the engine sounded really rattly and poorly. It does rattle a bit - are all 2 litre 480s like this or is mine worse than most? It sounds like this at idle:

Also, I have noticed if I put my foot down I get a cloud of white stuff out of the exhaust (not sure if it is steam or smoke as I only get to see it in the mirror). It mainly occurs when the engine is cold but is just about noticable with a warm engine too. I cannot get it to happen when the engine is fully up to temperature though (ie both engine and oil >80C). Any suggestions as to what it might be as it is worrying me a bit?

Thats what mine sounds like! Tell em to do one, thats what a proper engine sounds like!

If you think you have a problem, wait til the backbox falls off-now thats rattley
