Aircon not switching on...

Post by suddy » Sun Jan 27, 2008 5:42 pm

I changed my alternator belt today, think i've done it up too tight, but don't think that's the reason my aircon isn't working..
The pump doesn't kick in, I think i've knocked some wires, but I've no idea what or where..

Can anyone help?

Air con compressor is under the alternator and has a plug. Maybe you knocked it out.

Check it out under there.

2 wires near intercooler are plugged in? They shouldn't be as it makes the car run ROUGH!

Am I right?

My Aircon isn't running anymore either, the last 480 I had needed re-gassing, then it ran just fine after that

might be worth getting it gasses up? My current car's been sitting for a while and the aircon's stopped working, so I'll be taking her to get gassed up when the weather gets a bit better :D

Roll on the warmer weather so I can finish waxoyling and preening and get her back on the road! :hopping:

Messed about with the wires, and seems to be ok now.
I heard somewhere that if the outside temp is less than 10C then the aircon will not switch on...is there any truth in this?
