I like them but haven't seen them working. I was enquiring about a pair from a member on here but he has not got back to me. He was busy with college work I think.

Cheers,

I agree, it sounds like you've bent a key.

Have a close look and see if it is bent, maybe take it to a key cutting shop. It's unlikely all of the locks would break at once. It must be the key.

It could be a weak vacuum / vacuum leak / dump valve not opening correctly. Atmospheric dump valves dont work so great due to the way the car measures air flow.

If you have one of them it's worth geting rid of for prformance.

I believe they increased the volume of the maf by altering the diameter of the casing. There was a specific volume they were aiming for to match some uprated injectors. I think they sourced some tubing of suitable diameter then took the internals of the MAF and inserted into the new tubing. How to c...

There are companies that specialise in rubber extrusions. Some specifically for classic cars. Not used this but a quick goooogle: http://www.classiccar-trim.com Maybe you can find something similar and cut the angles on the ends yourself. I bought a generic rubber extrusion for a boot seal once. It ...

It's the lag before the turbo kicks in that keeps it a bit slow.

There were a lot of posts a few years ago about changing the resistance of a few resistors inside the ECU. Search the forum for "resistor + ecu" and have a read through. I would like to have a tinker with these as I believe you can also alter the ignition timing and other values but it would need to...

A lot can change over the space of a year, hence the yearly MOT.

These cars take work to keep them nice.

I didn't know about the VOSA web site. I'm going to check mine out just for fun.

Dont use a dump valve.

Use a good re-circ valve.

I've ordered one from this rather boy racer looking site!: http://www.autoinparts.com/Heat_Shield_Products-Thermal_Barrier-Starter_Shield_593.3%C2%B0C_(1100%C2%B0F)/c868_872_882/index.html Seemed to have a good price. I toyed with the idea of just buying some matting as it was cheaper but not as hig...

I think i've found my shop:

http://www.exhaustwrapshop.com/default.aspx

They do wrap around starter shields and all sorts. A bit pricey though, they seem to be cheaper on US websites but shipping will be expensive.

I think this might be what i'm looking for.

WANTED: Rear clusters

I'm looking for a pair of rear clusters in a servicable condition.

They can be faded but no cracks or chips as i'd like to try and restore them. My current ones are faded and cracked so no good as the cracks will always show.

If anyone has these then please let me know!

Muchos thanks,
