When I removed my lights, the old foam seal was almost completely "crushed" which let the water in.

I used the butyl tape and so far not a single drop in sight!

I am not really sure, but I am guessing it doesn´t light up. I can't help you with the Cd-changer but I seem to remember that on early models the radio amplifier was located under the passenger seat (not be used at the same time with passenger seat height adjustment, though).
