Re: Wanted: seat belt holder, window regulators, temperature sensor (water) and rear tail lights
If the bottom part is missing, check your top section to see if the connecting lug is intact. That's what usually breaks, hence the top sections were supplied by Volvo without the bottom part. Usually that's left loose but still threaded on the belt.

Re: Service parts
There is no specific supplier of 480 parts. Some are easily sourced such as shocks, quite a lot come from Renault as the basic engine block is theirs. There are 2 German suppliers who still have some parts, polarparts.de and skandix.de. but of course shipping and import duty make them quite expensiv...

Re: Rear wings, engine and odd bits
Hi Colin,
The rescue group could use some of your stash. Those rear quarters look good, please let me know what you want for them. I'll check with Jeff on the other parts.
Cheers
Sylvia

Re: Rescue alert ! Black turbo auto ? R8 ?
If there had been a colour chart, I think I would have picked a different red, but once behind the wheels (and dirty) I'm sure they will look fine. After the nightmare of the painting I'm certainly not going to ask Jeff to do a repaint !
Big well done on all the progress, another turbo saved.

Re: Newby to 480s
Welcome to the club !! We have a rare editions register which I maintain so I'd be interested to know what the registration is in case the car is also a 'newby'. There were actually 3 different models badged as Limited Editions, each available for one year only. The first in 1991 was the very rare P...

Re: 480 reborn
Pictures need to be hosted somewhere else, I'm sure you will get suggestions from other members now that photobucket is no longer free. There is a picture icon in the row huat under the title of the thread. Click on that and it gives you the start and end command, then paste the link in between. Bri...

Mobile Meet Hampshire to Northants October 1st
Date for your diaries.
Nothing organised yet, but we will undoubtedly start in Andover again with the first photos of the day at the entrance to Thruxton circuit.

Re: 480 reborn
Great to hear of a really early car being saved ! If you are new to the forum you will have to do 10 posts before you can add pictures. More of the story of the car's rescue would be great.

Re: Calling all GT owners
Sorry to say we havent got very far with this. Al rang them and the person he spoke to had no idea who to put him through to, so suggested emailing. Apparently they have several events teams. I've emailed twice over the last month and not received any reply. Al and I will be in the area on the 24th ...

Snazzy is a 93 - 6 bongs for the seatbelt is all I get, then it's 'well you obviously aren't listening to me so I'll stop wasting my amps'

Re: Calling all GT owners
Normally, I would say everyone else is welcome to join us, but I've yet to speak to Weston Manor. I was hoping to combine a personal visit with another trip, but our week went completely haywire so it will have to be a phone call. Until I have spoken to them, I have no idea if they might have a func...

Calling all GT owners
Some time ago Jaster suggested a photoshoot of GTs at Weston Manor, to recreate the photos in the GT sales brochure: https://www.dragonflyjewel.co.uk/480/gtbrochure1.jpg https://www.dragonflyjewel.co.uk/480/gtbrochure2.jpg The proposed date is Sunday 24th July. Weston Manor is north of Oxford, near ...
