It's a nice part of the world, do you still live there?
I used to go there for work every few months until I changed jobs a year or so ago. Many a tasty pizza have I demolished from Lucano's in Kirkwall

Sorry I missed all this, completely forgot about it
No 480 tasks for me today, took it for a drive instead, the weekly shop done in style
Jeff, are the Vega rims 14 or 15 inch diameter? Probably the nicest 480 wheels I've seen

Re: Couple of electrical problems
I had an issue with my GT where the info centre was very faint and the radio didn't work. It turned out that the fuse carrier in the fuse box was faulty and was only allowing 6 volts to pass through.
Check the voltages at each of the locations that are faulty and see what you get.

Re: Flaming urgent
For a short term fix you can get various sizes of universal electric radiator fans from Spal etc. One of them with the wiring adapted to fit the wiring plugs should work just fine

Also, you'll have to clarify if it's the earlier wing mirror you need or the later type.

Re: out of hibernation for a while.
It's already got a decent coat of underseal just to protect it from the Scottish summer
If I rinsed the salt off the underside every couple of days it should be ok, surely? I used to run all my previous 480's through the winter, the heated seats were ace

Re: out of hibernation for a while.
Well, my Mk1 TT winter car is royally f@#"+& so I think my 480 might have to venture out on the salty Highland roads a few months earlier than planned
Any tips for stopping it from completely disintegrating? I don't think it's ever seen a salty road before!

The pop up motor in the 480 is also shared with a model of Ferrari so if we ever run out we can keep an eye out for them in the local scrapyard
Edit: it's a 456

Re: My Old Turbo (L904 FCW)
Was this the car that you converted to a Turbo?
I think you need to save it just for nostalgia and what it's history means to you. Any other car would be "just" a 480.
The front panel is a common/easy place to rot and doesn't necessarily mean the rest of the chassis has gone the same way.

You may as well get forged internals and fit a turbo while you have it all in bits

Re: Oooops I did it again....
My Most tester told me a while ago that it is a fail point in a 2 door can if the front seats don't flip forward as it means passengers might find it difficult to get out if there's a crash etc. I'm not sure if it applies to one seat though. He also said that it's a fail if you can't open the fuel d...

Re: Rear Light Clusters - problem solved !
From what I can ascertain a pair of rear light lenses will cost between 300-400 Euros. The black centre panel that sits between the rear lights will be between 100-150 Euros. This is for just the lenses, you will need to remove the lenses from your existing light clusters and silicone the new lenses...
