On mine, when cruising on irregular roads it makes a noise similar to an old shopping cart, or like you are dragging a can of beans.
When I break the sound goes away.
Cheers.

Loosing coolant time and time again
Hi Guys. I'm having coolant problems which I can't figure out. The car is a 91 turbo. Some time ago I was loosing coolant (around 1 litter a week). The problem was tracked as beeing one of the pipes for the auxiliar water pump and the lower radiator hose. After the fix it hold for about one or two m...

Re: Info Center was working
Hi, There is no issue with the info center being disconnected for long periods of time. the only thing that happens is that you loose your avg consumption speed etc. What did you disassembled? did you remove the infocenter board(the one that has the strap that connects to the "info center" switches)...

Re: Ticking noise from engine
Other thing that comes to mind is trying to check if the idle is adjusted. You can adjust it by: with the engine running and warmed up and AC turned off. You should in fact have every thing you can switched off as to not cause any load. in the front of the ICV there are two wires that should be unco...

Re: Now infocenter is dead??!!
Hi Van,
That would be a great help. I'm having trouble finding it in the local scrapyards.
To be more sure that it will be a match for mine, could you please check the 3-digit number on the large chip?
I believe the number "734" or "712" would work for mine.
Cheers

Re: Ticking noise from engine
Hi Swanny, I'm not sure about the tiking sound. As for your second issue, I don't relay understand what you meant for " when I dip clutch when braking " ( English's not my mother language). Do you mean that the revs stay at around 400~500 RPM until you press the gas pedal? If so, I think I had a sim...

Re: Dashboard Bulbs
Hi, The tree bulbs are 12v5w ones. They're quite common and cheap. The other one (top right on the pic van posted) is the halogen bulb. I cannot find it's rating. It's more expensive. Also, another advice: before completely reinstaling the dash try to take the car to a dark place to make sure they a...

Re: Now infocenter is dead??!!
HI Jim, Thank you for your offer. However, while doing my testings I've created one of my own. I've done so calculations for the amount of kms I've traveled I'm figuring out I should have two dashes of fuel. So as long as I don't go under the resistance I got for that suposedly two dashes I should b...

Re: Now infocenter is dead??!!
Thanks for your help. Alan: I was hopping it would be one bulb burnt but unfortunately it's not. Jim: I'm thinking of making an emergency gauge of my own but my issue is the calibration. Do you remember the values for the empty/full tank? I'll try to use a gauge, if I fail, I might have to ask you t...

Now infocenter is dead??!!
The dreadful our has arrived: How am I going to know how much fuel I have left? :cryhard: . This week my info center died. On one day it was ok (although I felt a faint burnt smell) on the next morning turned the key and... No info center :kill:. I don't think it's the display fault nor it's control...

Thinking of replacing calipers
Hi, As some of you might have noticed I'm doing "restoration" on my braking system. Next will the rear calipers only. The front ones are good. I'm looking at a refurbished pair on ebay. the pair contains this caliper http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rear-Left-Brake-Caliper-To-Fit-VOLVO-440-460-480-CAR849-1...
