I did an auto to manual and it wasn't too tricky.

Sold the auto to my mum, and bought a manual. :D
Prob quickest and cheaper option Andy!

Haven't looked back either, manual much more fun/fuel efficent.

Nice post Dan. There's a job any long suffering 480 owner has done more than once! That plastic bit that always snaps is another great 480 design (not!). Remember seeing a post where the new non o/e ones on fleabay use metal clip instead (but cost £125!). Good chance to waxoyl the doorpan and en...

Even at £400 for the MOT still loads cheaper than paying £300pm on finance for a new car though (at least that's how I see it!). Have you tried dropping some of that 'Radseal' stuff in there Joolz? One of my mates used it on his car that was loosing a lot of water last year and is still doing...

Very true, except you can actually fit more/bigger items in a boot of a 480 than a C30, now there's progress for you?!

Still think they look the biz from the outside mind....

Sorry to hear that Pete, used car dealers do have 'that' reputation for a reason, so I guess he was proving a point. Sad git.

I'd stick to buying one from an enthusiast next time, safer option!

Good luck with the search.

C30 - 1st forum test drive?

Well mum has decided now she's sold her place in Eire to replace the ES with a new car, so off to Rybrook Volvo in Chester we went yesterday. They had loads of C30's down there and I've got to say I think they look great from the outside (especially in the flame red-type colour) and the performance...
