I did exactly that with my last 480. I used dark tinted perspex to make the new covers though. They looked quite good. The only thing I can add to this though, is that you need to put some kind of reflector in there, to dissipate the light across the lense. I didn't, and it meant the bulbs were visi...

You forgot to mention that it has the BEST LOOKING of all the standard Volvo 15" alloys fitted! ;)

(the T5 look-alikes - had them on one of my 480's).

A few more for the collection, you might have missed: The bulb inside the hazzard warning light switch. This lights up the red trangles on the switch when the ignition is turned on. The bulb behind the heated seat panel. This illuminates the pictures for the switches. The bulb inside the fan speed s...

Know if these are suitable for a 2l GT? If so I wanna have first dibs!! Not missing out this time  Yep, they should be fine one a 2-litre. I had PI 40mm's on my 2-litre for a while, and didn't have any problems. You've got first-dibs on these, and the front shocks. I can try and combine the po...

No, no rears I'm afraid. The advice I would offer though, from my experience of buying rear shocks on my past 480's, would be to buy the SACHS rear shocks from PartsForVolvos.com. I had all kinds of knocking problems with 3 different 480's from fitting Bilstein shocks, and replacing them with SACHS ...

They're made by a company called "RECORD", who I've never heard of before. I just bought the cheapest "non-brand" shocks I could, as the car was only being used as a run-about. I think I paid £70 for them, which still worked out cheaper than GSF, EuroCarParts or PartsForVolvos after taking delive...

Pair of Front Shock Absorbers - Brand New!

I bought some front shock absorbers for my 480, intending to fit them at the same time as my lowering springs ( also for sale  ). I've since sold the 480 (before fitting them), so have these left over. They're brand new, never fitted - and only just taken out of the box today, so I could photo...

KYB K-Force Lowering Springs - 40mm drop - Almost new!

I have some KYB K-Force lowering springs which I bought for my 480 Turbo. I sold the 480 before I got round to fitting them though. I bought them second-hand, but the previous owner claimed they had only been on the car for about 2,000 miles. Looking at them, I can well believe this, as they look pr...

That looks like a B18E engine - I think the throttle body is heated, so it's probably plumbed into the cooling system.

By the way.... I have a set of KYB K-Force 30mm drop springs that I bought for my last 480, but didn't get round to fitting before selling it. I bought them second hand, but the seller claimed they'd only been used for 2000 miles. Anyone want to make me an offer? Ben. (image borrowed from t'internet...

From what I remember, there are two different types of bump stops. The earlier type are 'stalagmites', and the later type are 'stalactites'. http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/stalactite-stalagmite-2.jpg My first 480 had the earlier style, and when I fitted my 40mm springs, I didn't have to cut the...

The brown and blue wires are only used on the original CEM. CEMIII, which you have has a completely different diagnostics system, controlled by the little black box near the strut tower on the passenger side in the engine bay: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/ben.harris/Volvo%20VADIS/diagnostic...
