Oh and I hate Super 4's (although you can pick them up for 99p each from gsf if you haggle) , rubbish plugs! NG...

Oil Jets are to cool the piston, helps keep core temperatures down.

Fuel light normally indicates about 60miles left, think its 2 bars on the IC.

Bit hard to explain but its basically, a bracket thats bolted onto the bellhousing where the clutch cable would normally run, to allow it to run smoother upto a longer clutch release arm.

What does your multimeter show across the battery, 11.6 - 12ish volts? Try measuring it after the car's not been charging for a while. 13.8 sounds spot on for alternator charging voltage, that's what mine reads (i've just been out to check it). I thought the thing under the foam was just an oil seperator to remove oil from the air and drain it back to sump?
