the exhasut IS very close as it passes over the rear beam, and a 1/4" gap can easily be taken up as the car jiggles around.
OR it can be the drop links on anti roll bar, easy to replace or final option is front bush on trailing arm (or maybe the ARB bush on rear beam )

Re: How Many left Event in Aberdeenshire
Do like the removed side strip look. I've just got to work out what to do about the bumper inserts when it comes to paint time! And that 21 year old paint seems to polish up quite well indeed. Excellent work chaps! red polished up OK with colour restorer, (always wear gloves other wise look like an...

Re: Spare dashboard cluster
I have a spare (earlier) dash (grey/green) but I didn't know Cranna had a spare 93 dash!!
I'll need to get in touch and see if he would swap as my spare would probably fit his car?

Well Me and Cranna rocked up, initially Cranna's was two cars away so his shiny paint job didn't show up too badly my attempts at polishing twenty year old red :-) I have a photo of the two sideby side but no photo-bucket so how to post photo? https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/40P3BTtQoqK-59Jk9iqQu4...

Re: Scuff plates
I would like to install scuff plates, the sills get scratched easily. Any suggestions other than the general ones you find on Ebay? If there are original Volvo 480 accessories knocking about I am all ears :) Moi Depends what you want/need. I have the nice ones on the 480, previous one even had the ...

Re: Info Centre
You could try and swap the info centre dial, they are electrically the same throughout the entire production, only the display itself differs (i.e. red stripes for spare fuel instead of all green ones, different typeface). Dashes without the SRS light will fit perfectly, assuming you have one with ...

Re: Info Centre
I was afraid that this would be the probable cause :( i even tried swapping over the switches but only to be sure that it really was the dash board out job . . . . . I do have spare info centre so probably worth swapping it across before I get near the 'zebra' strip, the spare dash is the same instr...

Re: Info Centre
When the left hand side of my info centre display was all I could see, it turned out to be the big bulb for the back light had blown. easy peasy if that's the case aye I know the one you mean, the halogen one that cooks the PCB  afraid it's just random parts of the text :( which does change a...

Re: Info Centre
I guess it's fair to say that when teh info centre only has bits of it showing ie half the text / half the fuel level it's toast or is this also iffy connectors? PS dab hand at removal / refitting so good in fact that the self tappers are 'rattling fit' and I'm trying NOT to remove the dashbo...

Re: Final Details for Mini-Meet Saturday 6th May
I wish we could muster that number up here, must have been biggest percentage of 480 in one place in the UK for years, some very shiny versions as well :hopping: According to tinternet only about 200 of ALL varieties of 480 left!!!! there are more SS1s left (350) from a production run of around 1500...

it does keep debris off and a wee bitty warmer in winter, not a problem if a fair weather motor . . . .
PS there is NO under-tray on the C30 (except on diesel versions)

Re: My second 480...... project 'sleeper'
I've never used this stuff before but I understand that this is the stuff to use for making proper polyurethane parts yourself. This is a slower curing one, which was recommended by someone at work who has played around with it quite a bit. I decided that the 80 shore would be the one for me but di...

i think each rocker switch has it's own bulb?
the rotary switch contacts are a bit 'suspect' any way so I'd not get overly concerned, you can feel theswicth anyway, no need to 'look' for it

Our first 480 had bulb failure on teh front DRL, but seems to ONLY be on teh rears on teh 93 version. front bulbs were only lasting about 6 months at a time (or felt like it) :-) can't notice pop-ups not working cos use to run most of winter without the DRL as teh headlights were always ON, being th...

hopefully not teaching my granny how to suck eggs but.... Definitely worth dropping them an email (support@photobucket.com) as it does look like they had some recent issues during an "upgrade". As a cloud provider I doubt they could ever truly "lose" something, but the sooner you act, the more chan...
