Re: Time for my 1st 480!!
Would also kill for a Starion. I guess we are all into the retrofuture quirky stuff. There's one for sale close to my place. But if finding spares for the 480s in becoming increasingly harder I cannot imagine myself digging the japanese classifieds for parts and paying for shipping from Japan. http:...

Re: Window problems
I would recomend removing the glass for an easier job. That way you can replace that linking piece without breaking anything. How else can you unscrew that black box that retains the union of the linking part with that "turning zip" that comes from the motor? (exucuse my poor Spanish-English transla...

Re: Window problems
Regarding the sunroof, and to avoid you some mistakes I've made. YOu do only need to remove the crystal to gain access to the elevating / closing mechanism. The headlining doesn't need to be removed at all. With the crystal lifted you gain access to two hex bolts under the crystal. Those two bolts l...

Re: Teves mk2 ABS - Hydraulic Accumulator Replacement
That's precious information. I have that ABS system and got exactly the same symptoms whe I bought the car. I assumed the whole ABS unit was broken so I bought and replaced the whole unit. ONly to find out that the ! and ABS warnings on the dashboard ddin't go off after spending over 250 euros. Then...

Re: Sunroof parts needed.
And my sunroof is finally back to life. Fully working and, most important of all, firmly closing so that anoying whistling on the highway is gone. https://youtu.be/fC571HmuB0A Thanks to Mr "He saved my car once more" Glasgowjim for suplying the parts needed for the price of shipping. Also thanks to ...

Re: One-speed blower
I would replace the speed selector and move from there.
I think the max speed different fuse is for security measure. In case the fuse falls you can still demist the windscreen.

Re: Cupholder Armrest!
To anyone interested in a cupholder, have found this on Markplaats. Not cheap though. I put one I took from a 440 from scrapyard a while ago on mine and have to say that even though your right elbow now finds it's place to rest as the lid is higher It is a nuisance when you have a beverage on the th...

Re: Turbo pressure sender.
Thanks for clearing this. What I meant ( sorry for my poor explanation) is that putting my finger on the back of the valve I could feel some sucking on my finger. I wasn't sure if the valve should be completely airtight. And I agree on your explanation point by point that the car was delvering a lit...

Re: Turbo pressure sender.
I am quite sure that the regulator valve of the turbo has some kind of leak as I'm sensing this slight vacuum on my fingers when I put the on the back of the sensor plus a slight "shhhh" coming from it. Have found a later valve (3460502) from chasis 567600 wich is in apareance equal to my older valv...

Re: Sunroof parts needed.
Seems like I have found what I need for my roof. This guy Neil has a moonroof at Wilderness Autos : Wilderness Lane, Edenbridge (Kent). He sent me some fuzzy pictures of the sunroof cassette still mounted on the car, but since I am asking for some more clearer pics of the parts he is telling me that...

Done that a couple of weeks ago. Easy one.
Need to loosen the alternator tensor so it lowers a few cms, and you can replace it. Can be fully done from above.

So is it this rigid tube that departs from the upper left side of the inlet manifold (looking from the front of the car)?
