Volvo 480 Club Europe

Suddenly lost ABs , brake pedal lost pressure

So bled all brakes ABS still warning light on but....

brakes now feel as if they are solid press hard on pedal and it hardly moves car slows gradually
any ideas
no loss of fluid

help

Damn got under the car and its leaking copious amounts of water from the water pump . Being a bright spark I thought i would then check under the mats to see if they were dry oh no drivers side soaking wet and the passenger side damp! Yes the radiator was very low on water my son forgot to tell me how low it was mumbling something like cars overheating a bit !!!! Was not a good night working on the car all day and took it for a quick spin, battery very low on charge and I found out the hard way middle of nowhere pitch black stopp...

after 8 minutes of running the onboard computer tells me that the oil temp is in the high 120,s the engine temp is showing cold and the heater wont blow warm at all. `10 mins in the computer tells me to stop oil

whats is the problem ?

any ideas ?

they are 80/100W bulbs so they will go in today or tomorrow.

100w headlamp bulbs (intense white) is it safe to use these in a 480 volvo . So they wont blow any of the electrics?

daughter's 480 when you put your foot down or slow down quickly the engine seems to throw either forward or backwards . Reckon it must be the engine mounts any suggestions as to which ones or definitve checks I can do.

speedo/tacho the cable from the sensor could have managed to twist round and melt against the engine block and causing failure . Check by feeling round for bare or melted wire alternatively use a torch and mirror to check sensor . Thats what was wrong with mine.

get a multimeter and connect the 10A connection between the positive of the battery and the battery lead. The current drain will be displayed and you can guage whether it is too great or not .
