B18FT won't start.

I Removed Engine to allow clutch chage / timing / etc etc. Engine back in, ran for about 30seconds rich then died. Now refuses to start. Checked Spark (on all 4) Checked fuel pump running (even bridged fuel pump straight to battery) Crank Sensor seems ok, resistance in values as stated by Haynes. Wh...

You won't see 12v until you start cranking. This is when the Crannkshaft Sensor sees it moving. Safety feature I think to cut fuel pumping if engine not turning.

Well production stopped in 96, and there were a few N Reg's built. As for P I guess it was built before then but never registered, then only registered when it was P registration.

The component in the middle of your photo, is the Idle Control Valve and serves nothing to do with the cooling system, Its simply there to control things when you've got no throttle on, and well to make it idle smoothly and at the correct speed.

Irrespective of enviromental issues, it's still better for higher compression ;)

Higher Octane. So can withstand great compression without detonation. Essentially more power if mapped for it.

Koenigsegg developed a 'eco' version of the CCX, that Runs on E85 and generates more power than it could on normal petrol.

Might be worth heading over to detailingworld and having a look on the forums, see if there's any tips there?

I've never used engine flush, if you're that worried its got crap in, then just run it with some cheap oil, even mineral, and do a filter swap afterwards. Let it get upto temp, take it out on a bit of a drive (not massive) then drain it. I've often used old oil I've got laying about to make up enoug...
