Re: The Wolf roams
This guy makes the coupling pieces both in plastic and metal. Plastic for 12€each. Stainless steel for 40€ each. I had given all kind of plastic material replicas so many chances that I had to go for steel ones. 90€ p&p included. I have passed this page on my car forever. I would spend that money ag...

But then i found t...

Looks nice!
In my opinion cool white leds don't fit the car style. I'd give a try to warm white leds.
Check this.

Re: FOR SALE:- LED DRL lights
I have bought myself on Ebay some different types of BA15S LEd bulbs to try an replace DRLs for LEDs. All of them in warm white tone. While I wait for them to come from China I have a few questions. I really would like to replace all BA15s on the car for LEds, that's pretty much all of them but the ...

Re: Sealing the rear lights
I have bought Joeps seals in the past when I replaced both my back light clusters. They do the job as good as the original ones. But you may need to add some clear silicon sealant on top of that if you want to get a complete full sealing of the lights. One another design defect in our beloved 480s.

Re: FOR SALE: Rear bumper support
German told me you were in Madrid to pick up the Hausser body kit and gave him in return a set of those bumper supports. I was eager to see them. What humidity and rust do to your cars in northern Europe, sun does to ours in southern. Right at that time I was fighting the speedo battle. 480 fools cr...

Re: Speedo sensor desperately wanted. MOT coming up
No Brinkie. In my case everything was fine with the instruments board. It was the speedo sensor all the way. I read GlasgowJim once that he would change speedo sensor first and move from there if things didn't solve. I wish I would have gone that way. Gremlins? I swear I didn't feed the car after 12...

Re: Yet another speed gauge gremlin topic.
After I fried the infocenter board when trying to clean the connections on the back of the main board I had to replace the whole thing. Also due to so many dashboard disassemble and reassemble the plastic was falling apart. I had to reinforce almost everywhere with pounds of poxiline. Now its all fi...

After breaking one after another different material replicas of the damn moonroof couplig pieces I finally ordered stainless steel 3D replicas of the coupling piece to this dutch fellow through Shapeways http://www.shapeways.com/product/479CFHKBB/glashubdach-leitungsverbinder-volvo-480?li=marketplac...

This breaker in Spain is selling GT parts. I could ask him for the rear glass badge.

It would be nice to see the latest 10 posts instead of the current 5 in the board index. That way more people might see them before they pass to page 2.

Re: Yet another speed gauge gremlin topic.
Yes. I also thought that it could be the residue of the CRC causing the smell and smoke, but forgot to mention that the infocenter board got quite hot. I could sense the heat coming from the multipin blue connection to the main board area. So I figured that a short-circuit had happened over there. I...

Re: Yet another speed gauge gremlin topic.
Fire! Fire! I took out the speedo and disassembled the thing. Cleaned all the circuits thoroughly with CRC cleaner, let it dry for half an hour and then reassemble. Once I connected the green and grey connector on the back of the board, after two minutes, some weird smell started to come out followe...

Re: Yet another speed gauge gremlin topic.
Thank you Brinkie for your answer. Every thought is welcome. Yes, that repair guide on the link I've sent is for the broken tooth on the cogwheel. Also a common failure if you reset the partial odometer when the car is running as you force the mechanism counterclockwise when it's turning clockwise (...

Yet another speed gauge gremlin topic.
Hi all. Been through ALL of the speedo threads I could find. Reading them has prepared me to this new problem. So I start the car and the speedo and odometer are easy and ok. After I drive about 10 kms the needle starts jumping up and down. 50% of the time it displays the right speed, the other half...
