Doh! Just noticed he already put Lexus/Toyota... anyway, I was wondering why it's both... I've never understood what the Lexus badge is about, is it just for us snobby westerners who don't think Toyota can be a prestige brand or something??

It's a while since I've looked inside a Mk 2 engine bay, but IIRC it's on the offside of the bulkhead and it's a lot smaller.

Well, to be fair, you can get an Esprit V8 for less, but I don't think they are as easy to live with as a daily runner.

well, it's nice, BUT... It's sat on 14's, it's got the velour trim and orange clusters, it won't have TRAX, and doesn't have an airbag. Not sure what that bottle is above the air filter, is that for the 1st type ABS? If it does go for £1,500 then I'd say they've overpaid. Just my opinion, as mk2 ...

I've had a couple of friends with TVR Chimaeras, and seeing them fishtail out of carparks is quite funny, but it just makes me think they are more american in style (big engine, lots of power, lots of noise, sod the handling). Look nice tho. Anyway, they both got rid pretty quickly ("I just appricia...

Is it a 2000? I hope it doesn't land in the new tax brackets :?

Looks like it shifts, and the 4 doors should make things easier with the nipper :)

Good time to buy one too, bit of a buyers market for performance cars at the moment with the stupid fuel prices. :badmood:

I'd say that the adjustment on your Throttle Position Sensor is set wrong. Have you done anything with the throttle cable recently? http://www.automedia.com/Throttle_Position_Sensor_Adjustment/ccr20040701ts/1 You might find this link useful. The adjuster is situated on top of the throttle body, at t...

No, the Mass Airflow is just on Turbos.

Even though the idle valve might be showing the right resistance, I would take it out and give it a clean with some carb cleaner. Also check your throttle position sensor.

The black box is the mantle air pressure sensor I believe.
