Re: Torpedo! Panel! Repair
Ok I understand you. Are you able to post a picture of the issue? I am trying to think about what might be good, if you are worried about the fuse box falling out that is a common problem which I fixed with a piece of wood, not very pretty but it works :D With a picture I can give a more informed ad...

Re: Torpedo! Panel! Repair
Ok so if I understand you correctly, you need to rebuild the holes for the screws? you can actually get away with just 1 or 2 in the right place. When it comes to making a new hole, first get a really strong epoxy resin/adhesive, and then use that to mould a new fixing for the screw. In the example ...

I am quite confused by your use of the word torpedo, it might be an odd translation? is there a picture of what you are referring to?

Re: Remap??
Well I have never heard of a 480 getting remapped as such, however there are 2 main chip modifications, Robou and Richmod. Now I don't know the precise difference but one gives you insane acceleration the other gives you more power I think. One of them basically restores the spec to what Porsche dev...

Re: 1988 Volvo 480 ES - A New Era Dawns: One year on
I've given away my set of Pollux alloys with snow tyres for the 480 last week to a friend who has his 480 as only car. Snow has become rare here due to global warming (at best we've got a mild frost at night and lots of cold rain during daytime) so I'm not bothering to put them on. When it snows, I...

Re: Volvo 480 Turbo from Siberia
Hi there, glad to hear its going well Firstly, wow that is an extensive list of jobs done, don't know how many 480s are in Russia but you are leading the way! As for the washer nozzle, I am not sure how to fashion a substitute, but if it helps, I have a guide on how to fit a replacement, which you m...

Re: Wiring issues?
Hi there Suovas, welcome to the club. Firstly, whereabouts you based? Its just that german cars had a different mechanism to the rest of the 480s due to stringent laws, as such its a bugger to fix. Pop up issues are usually with the relay or the plastic pivots on the light itself, I am extremely sur...

Re: Forgotten Favourites Display - Beaulieu Autojumble 2021
Well after reading up about how good the HBL variant was it has pipped the Audi 80 quattro for the top of the want list again. I see it as an inevitability that I will own both at some point however the Isuzu seems more achievable as it hasn't got any Yo #RetroAudi lickers after it and pushing price...

*This was also put on my serial thread, but felt it should probably have it's own thread given the contents Yesterday I displayed the Volvo at the Forgotten Favourites line-up at the Beaulieu Autojumble. Regarding bumper ferrying: At some point I will be up in Gateshead, this could possibly as soon as mid/late-September, early-October. Aberdeen is about 5 hours from there. I could then get it down to MK or Norfolk. Can any of our Scottish members get it a little further south? I could maybe go up a...
