Didn't think anything was cheap from Volvo
Bought a DLR bulb from volvo the other day (to see if it was a non-standard bulb making my pop-up wig out), cost £2.80. I thought, if that's what they charge for a bulb I'm not even gonna bother with them for anything that is less than essential. Is there an on-line price list for genuine volvo par...

Anyone got a spare rear washer jet???
Anyone got a spare rear washer jet? If not could someone pick one up next time they're in a scrappy? :help: There aren't any 480's in the scrappys by me atm. I only noticed mine was missing when I squirted the car behind me! I shouldn't think the scrappy would charge but if they do I'll pay any expe...

Inflation pressures
:dunno: As far as I know 195/50 has 97.5 mm height (50% of 195) and 185/65 works out as 120.25. When you take into account the extra inch on the wheel, the diameter changes by about +0.55%. If that's right, I'm not really gonna lose sleep over that! Does anyone know what how the inflation pressure i...

New wheels, new problems.
Hi,
Just fitted some 15" rims to my car. Will I need to make any adjustments? I've gone from 185/65 R14 to 195/50 R15 tyres so the diameter seems more or less the same.
These are the wheels I've got... pics will follow!

Oops
Ah.... my bad, got it into my head that Cetus were 16" for some reason....
(probably because the car of the month has managed to shoehorn some 17" rims on - good work dood!)
I light of that fact, I may just go for 15's....
Thanks.

16" Rims and scrubbage
Hi all, I'm hoping to lay my hands on some 16" rims for my car, but I want to make sure that this will be OK, I don't want to have to tinker with suspension just yet or get any rubbing/banging/vibrating/<insert own annoying & vaguely sexual verb here>/ problems. I'm gonna keep an eye out for the gen...

What on Earth???
Checked the Earths, can't see any problems there (and the throttle cable hasn't melted, must be a good sign! ). I think it may be time to take the motor out and have a look... unfortunately, I couldn't understand the instructions Jonas posted, so I guess it's time to consult Haynes again.

Confusing Relay Situation
So basically Haynes have dodged telling us which relay is which? Is this because they differ? I read that the early models had a different relay layout to the ones from 1994. My car was registered in November 1993, so I'm not sure which layout it is. I'm wondering if any of you experts know how I ca...

Wanted - Alloys
Looking to fit alloys to my 480S. I'm looking for original volvo alloys though. If anyone has any spare please let me know! Anyone know a ball-park figure I'd be looking at? I know this is all probably a matter of taste, but what do you reckon are the best volvo alloys for the 480? Cheers! Ad edit b...

Winking near side light
Thanks Jonas,
Just a bit puzzled tho, if it is the motor, why does the light work ok every time the engine is off?

Relays and pop-ups
I have a 93 S too and have the same empty space in my relay box. Did you figure out what it was for? I have an intermittent problem with my pop-ups, where the near side light winks if I pop them up and down with the engine running. Seems to function fine when the engine isn't running tho... thought ...

The winking Volvo
I'm having exactly the same problem with my car. If I pop the lights up, there's no problem, but if I'm driving along and I pop them down the near side light keeps on "winking"... going up and down until I stop the engine and turn the ignition on again. :? I think it's the relays somehow... but does...

Relay Map
Does anyone know where I could print out a copy of the relay map that is usually inside the triangular box? Mine is missing (or could someone scan one and send it to me please???)
