Settled on an escort in the end, '96 1.6 Not too bad, full mot on it, cambelt done 8k miles ago, no knocks or squeaks (too bloody quiet), going to need the clutch done soon though thats not too big a worry Anyway, it'll get me to work and back until I'm feeling brave (or rich) enough to risk another...

Ha ha, if you think 480's rear arches rust, wait till you get a prelude!! :D True... Anyway, I resisted the prelude - and in my effort to find a boring motor I went to have a look at a white automatic mondeo  (does it get any more boring than that? ) but I wasn't happy with it, it...

I might be able to get a wheel, but I'll only get one if it's needed - don't know if the car's still at the scrappy, and the only other one around here's an airbag model, I'll look into it and let you know - as for the original one, it's attached to another forum members car now, not going to say wh...

Just go to your local motor factors and ask for a roll of brake pipe, think I paid about £7 last time and managed to do the entire system on the tipo off that

And as for the ends - I got this, did the job spot on

Wouldn't go near it myself...

All that perished rubber  , give it 100 miles and you'll need to replace all the oil seals, hoses, bushes etc. as they all fall apart

Would only be any good as a show car, put it up on a stand and never use it

What a waste...

I've had a look and can't see anything obvious but the noise seems to be coming from the head, and it seems worse now, definitely a metal hitting metal sound so I'm guessing something in there's broken, without taking the bloody thing apart (again) I can't be 100% certain of anything other than I've...

There I was, driving along, minding my own business and alls fine - until theres a bang, followed by a loss of power, followed by me just making it into a handy layby to have a looksee... Nothing Apart from a rather loud rattling sound coming from somewhere within the engine, so I take the sensible ...

 It's doing it again, and I'm running out of fuel... Theres two pipes connecting to the back of the fuel tank, the large main filler pipe and the other one (smaller of the two) I assumed was the breather, but what use is it being halfway up the tank? surely as you fill it up it's going to end...

My gauge shows to much pressure. How do I fix this? First off you need to decide how much pressure you would like it to show Once you've decided this drill a small hole in the gauge face at the point you have decided on then glue a small peg into the hole - when your gauge rises the needle will now...

Well seeing as we're already at the end of may I'd say the july dates are the better of the 2, gives us more time to get time booked off work etc.

What about camping prices then?
