On the TT the pump is buried under the alternator but on Air Con (or at least the GT I sold) the pump is at the top. When the guy had change everything and tried...

The pic has gone but I rang teh previous owner of my recently acquired TT, having noticed some slight marks on the roof - and he still had the rack in his garage. Bought just in time for house move. Made by Thor, a heavy bit of kit, the rear bar does not clamp - it is held in place by a link bar (th...

I suppose the tow bar is big and heavy - I am as far south as Scotland is north so spensive to post. However, I once sold a Maestro tow bar and it went to Scotland for £13 - it was fun handing it though the hatch at the local small post office.

Now fitted new brake pads - weird - the shop tried to sell me some pads that clearly would not fit. He identified the pads that would fit and they appear to be for a 1.7 rather than a 2L. Anyone else heard of this - my pads are the ones with the two bits of spring wire sticking out at the back of th...

so I started drilling and found it easy if slow going. It is essential to centre punch in the centre of teh bolt to prevent drill wander. Pilot drilled with a 1/8" (3mm for youngsters) for a bit and then opened out using various other drills. I had some american drills that looked like masonry drill...

Work in progress to remove the sheared off pin. It must be well rust welded in because I have tried copious amounts of release agent along with gentle heat (ie my faithful ronson gas flame) so I hope another day of persuading will work. Next stage is to remove the carrier - grip the pin in the vice ...

Had a similar problem - piston was 'sticky'. I worked the piston backwards and forwards and made sure the caliper moved ok on its pins.

Had a look at the website but it does not look like they have the bits I need which are often the car manufacturer's items but I will give them a call if the Volvo bits are not ok. Many thanks.
