i doubt it, he sold the car quite a while ago after the front wheel fell off on the motorway. think he used the wrong bolts on his new wheels, they fell out.

radiator in very good condition and not very old. genuine volvo 350mm wide i think but its definately the narrow type. It was replaced after getting a new one assuming it would be corroded at the end caps like my last 480, but when i dismantled it must have allready been replaced not long ago. its o...

also when you reassembly the brakes adjust this adjuster untill the pads just start to bind and then back it off a little, otherwise the handbrake will be too loose and the foot pedal may have a long travel. while your doing the brakes its very worth renewing all brake fluid, they will work much bet...

worn or stuck brushes probably. can sometimes find new brushes, wet and dry the commutator and clean the grooves with a hacksaw blade.

that clicking noise you keep mentioning isnt coming from the alternator. its coming from the starter motor. its the best indication that the battery is totaly flat. its the solenoid that switches the starter on, when the contact is made the voltage of the flat battery drops sufficiently to deactivat...

:rofl: thats a good job. i know someone who did this to a tailgate lorrydriver. at the lights he uncurled 6'5" of himself and asked the driver he wouldnt be so big out of his cab. doors locked quick.

i took long time finding this part. it wasnt for the want of looking. one turned on ebay.its the best bet.
