it sounds like a fuel issue to me.if it runs the ignition must be firing.the wron amount a fuel would play havoc with idle.things i would check are the lambda sensor if you have a cat. the cat can melt and block the exhayst if its gets any unburnt fuel on it when hot.

i cant get them out of my system either.i dont know what id buy on a budget. if you have any electrical prolems may be able to help.ive studied engineering.
