Re: Help/Advice needed!
Hey Adam, Check where the accelerator goes through the blukhead in the engine bay. I know two of my early cars have had the sort of guide tube on the cable break up and cause it to stick. I've sort of bodged it with garden hose and tie-wraps to guide it better but on my current car it sometimes stil...

For Sale: 2008 Mini Convertible - £2500
Since the baby came, my wife doesn't use her Mini and has stolen my C6 as her every day transport with the baby! This is fair enough but she has now decided she wants something larger of her own choice. She's owned it since 2013 and it has been fantastically reliable and is the only car to have neve...

Re: Rescue cars
I often wonder about the rescue cars but struggle to find their posts. Could the R-cars be put as "stickies" at the top of our "The secret life of a 480 owner..." section?

2023 meets? Cambridge proposal
Are there any meets in the pipeline? I'm itching to get out, explode my cooling system and go home, as is tradition! Even maybe a curry out one lunchtime or evening near me in Cambridge? I think I could arrange this and get a field nearby; but Sylvia's mega missions that she does would be beyone me!...

They have to be hosted eleswhere and then linked to on here. I use www.postimages.org out of sheer laziness, other solutions are available so also see what other members do. Once the image is hosted elsewhere, you can press the little photo icon which will them put the following "code" in to your po...

Re: My 480s so far!
So today I went about fitting the new land Rover washer part ( thanks for telling me about it jamescarruthers :D ) Had to annihilate the old piece to try get the pipes off but apart from that it's on, currently out of washer fluid so can't actually check if it works but hey it's a step in the right...

Re: Ignition switch clean/repair
Brilliant as this will be an only increasingly common source of starting troubles as time goes on. I've had trouble with two-- added a relay to one car and replaced the switch on another

Re: My 480s so far!
Hello. The hoses behind the nose cone do look like garden hose from the factory. However, I suspect that the splitter valve to the headlight washers has broken. You can get the original one from the Landrover dealer of all places! Note, the ones on eBay are completely wrong for the 480, even though ...

Re: Recommissioning a 480: 9. Final Bits
Hey Dave, I think at least one good sensor would make your car run a lot better-- the sensors to not work together so there will be no confusion of the ECU (its not that clever!). I have a black intake temperature sensor that I could send to you, which is very easy to install-- just a bit of wigglin...

Hello Fietsaapje!
You are lucky that Brinkie on here is in the NL and hopefully able to help you out. Do you know him already as he is in the Dutch 480 club?
