Re: Wanted: speed sensor that controls the speedometer

I’m sure we’ve probably found the same things; one ‘sold out’ at CEC Brighton, perhaps worth a call just in case. The site looks rather old school, could have one knocking about? £10. Then the £100 one here: https://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/genuine-parts/volvo/volvo-03467846-sensor/ I expect you’re...

Re: Cassette player plays music at lightning speed?

If cassettes have ever come into contact with magnets they are ruined…. Could be a possibility perhaps? I remember checking a cassette out of the library (in the 90s ☺️) and the lady ran it over the thing to check it out and it ruined it.

Re: Cassette player plays music at lightning speed?

I replaced mine with an exact copy, both were past best and never worked well enough to play cassettes. I got in touch with this guy:

I think, a year or two ago, it was around £125 for repair/service.

I was looking for some recently for other people's badges I'm fixing!

This is of course the super skinny but probably genuine.

...back came "L4MHC". Another amazing number plate return story! Even more so considering DVLA could of flogged that one off for a few quid. I think DVLA will only sell or auction previously unregistered plates. I've done quite a lot of number plate digging the past few years. DVLA are always your ...

I think rear arms are worse to find than rear lights! I had mine refurbished and used these. Said to be v.good quality and don't crunch on entry! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393245770277?epid=5025122458&hash=item5b8f464225:g:XWgAAOSwFzZgfZ2H There are some cheaper ones that pop up when I found those ...

If you look back at each and every image showing us something you’ve done to all these cars… I think you’ve single handedly revived the largest percentage of any particular vehicle out of anyone, ever  Looks like the inside will come out fine… but the paint :( What’s next for this one? It's no 300 of 480. Really surprised to see it up for sale as it's only a week or two since he messaged to ask about coming to the meet.
Gone now, fast sale or change of heart?

This one comes up when I search the part number...? (don't forget to search 'worldwide' for some things. ;) It says it is for the Turbo D 440/460 though and has a different part number.... appears to offer postage to UK. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284701817207?hash=item42498cf977:g:6R8AAOSwKFtiLxaW ...

Re: Rescue alert ! Black turbo auto

Well, I’m the least technical person here but the auto will still kick when you need it to! I’d put more reliability in the 480 auto to perform a successful overtake than I would the C30 I had. I found the auto much more of a cruise. Especially for the first ‘warm-up’ 5 miles. In a way it’s nicer. Y...

I think I got my B4s from here… maybe? https://www.bilstein-shocks.co.uk/search?q=VOLVO+480%20E+1994+bilstein-b4 I think they may have come from somewhere like ‘performance parts online’ when I paid. I got new subframe mounts too… I think that may have been polar parts? I got most of my parts from P...

I was a Carcoonist with mine. As Sylvia says, a pain full time (I hardly ever left mine out if it) but a lifesaver over the freezing months. Only thing is, you really need two people to put it on. I don’t have two people so was forever dragging over the paint…. One thing I absolutely advise, Carcoon...

I had a red 1994 2.0L ES, M314 NJA, that was registered as a GT. I think I’ve seen the issue more than once around the Internet too.
