have you checked the distributor cap ????

mine has been sluggish since i bought it in jan - took the cap off yesterday and it was full of oily crap - cleaned it off and hell what a difference - now goes like the wind.........as any 480 should.

hmmm thats the problem i think. In an emergency we all panic and put or foot down, its automatic, if we are trying to help say a loved one in pain or someone else who may need immediate assistance, the one thing we are in control of is the speed at which we get them that assistance. nice motor murph....my last 480 had foggy rear lights like yours must be yet another quirk - i used to clean them with baby oil -works a treat but you have to keep re-doing it..
