Has anybody bought from 'Volvo Fan' in Poland?
any feedback / importation issues etc?
I reckon I'll have to bite the bullet as was a comment at last year's MoT.....

Re: Washers not working
I tried putting a squeezy bottle of water on the jet to back flush it, but again only got a dribble through to the valve. Any idea where the blockage might be and how to clear it? Also, does the pipe run through the sill (as implied by the parts drawing), or along the roof (as I had assumed)? I use...

Re: My 480s so far!
I posted a question on the Facebook page awhile ago and it looks like quite a few people have put this lot on and looks like the only problem that's arose from them is cranna cracked his lower wishbone do to awkward angles due to lowing! & Can you not get the front spring pans if you order repo fro...

Re: My 480s so far!
Hmmmm, those front adjuster plates don’t look well thought out and I’m not a fan of the rears - your now pushing spring loads through an area not designed for it…. Button heads might be a better option, if 'man-enuf'? I too am 'not a fan' of rear-coils as the load is them placed in the middle of th...

Re: Scotland Mini Meet October 14th 2023
There seems to be no logic whatsoever with these things I quite agree. Accordingly to DVLA, all our 480s are bad enough to pay £325 road tax but the 2008 Saab is so disgracefully polluting we get stung for a whopping £720. Yet TFL would charge us to take a 480 into the London ULEZ zone and guess wh...

I used 'NuPaint' and it seemed OK, for a match even though the laquer leaked out of the tin whilst sitting on shelf
so used 'naked' ... .

Aye 1993 with 2 litre , green lamda light comes on then off.
if yours has a blank it avoids any 'issues' at MoT as the symbol is pretty 'hidden' when not lit up

small update N/S spring went 'ping' whilst sitting on the drive so when changing the spring decided to investigate the drive shaft inboard end. why it would fail standing still :? Re: Paris Blue Convertible Prototype up for sale!!!!
looks 'pretty' with roof down
pretty ropey with roof up, not a nice join as soft top seems like a tent?
and the 'trimming' around the sill is also 'suspect'?
can you just chop the roof off, leave doors 'fixed' and use 'Dukes of Hazard' entry method?

Re: WANTED - Subframe
https://www.dragonflyjewel.co.uk/480/subframesautomanual.jpg This is the difference. If you end up thinking of following Alan's suggestion, you need to check first which part of yours has corroded. Mine rusted into holes on the curved section one side of the gearbox mount. According to my garage ma...

Re: WANTED - Subframe
Thanks for the tip! I gave him a call this morning, said he'd have a look, says he found one but thinks it's for an automatic. so close... Keep that as an option, The front cross tube on your's is probably OK and you could cut the tube from your subframe and weld it onto the auto's subframe, (if yo...

Re: I am considering buying a C30/V40
I have a 1800 C30 57 plate, seems OK and done 80000 miles, still comfy enough, but allow wheels are laquer free and have been since 10000 miles :-( seat is shredded (twice) at 15000 & 30000, I'm only 11 stone so not excessive weight?!?!? it seems to eat front wishbones due to the void rubbers becomi...
