Very cool photo. Original font plates. Nice and shiny. Good rear lights.

Plus, fleck on the rear seat backs. Those who know, know

Re: Rescue Car: R3

Well that’s not cricket. I thought Norm started a thread the other day highlighting the unjust carnage of the scrappage scheme….. oh the irony. Regardless of R3’s whereabouts, the passion and dedication given by members on here doesn’t go unnoticed. Hopefully, one day, the retail value of a 480 will...

Re: No Fluid to Rear Brakes

This does give Jeff the opportunity to mention one of his prized tools though….. The coily heaty wire o-tron? I’ve just snapped a pair of bleed screws on an R50 mini. Can’t help but think Jeffs tool might be a wise investment. Anyway, the 480, has it failed said MoT on rear brake efficiency?...

Fingers crossed, paintshop dependant. Again.

I'd love to check out the 262C. One of those cars you shouldn't love, but secretly do.

Re: Cruise Control - how feasible?

Just to play devils advocate for a minute.... Even if you could find the parts, would you put your faith in some 30 old solenoid motor that someone found in the back of their damp shed, to keep your throttle open? Modern cruise control not so bad, because you can tap into the existing "drive...

Re: Coolent running low but no leaks?

Keep in mind your diagnosis of “getting hot” is based on 480 instrumentation

Get it idling with the fan cutting in - out - in - out. On that basis at least you know it’s stable. If the fan cuts in, stays on and she boils over, then you know you have an issue.

Re: Coolent running low but no leaks?

The elephant in the room is H/G but lets not go there yet. They are pretty bullet proof (only with a history of good coolant, thus minimising that corrosion element that Jeff mentioned). Another thing to check is the expansion tank cap or "rad cap" as it were. If they vent too early then they lose c...

Speed yellow with matching wheels for me which ideally I'd like to park next to a yellow on yellow 205 rallye. Don't judge my poor taste!
Yep, very cool and exquisite taste I’d say.

Besides, if you want poor taste, you could of said the Skoda Felicia “Fun”

Cheers Jeff, likewise. One's enough in my world, how you juggle 5(?) is beyond me! I think Rachel Essex was the first guinea pig of that mount and she must of rac...

I would say “back in the day” there was a difference. Once they’re passed the 10 year marker, things start to become much more generic…. Below is an excerpt from the 2022 Klarius Catalogue... https://i.postimg.cc/7Lp48nK1/exhausts.jpg Rear box connection diameters as stated : B18FT = 53mm into fema...

Re: Replacement (?) Rear Silencer

I’m going to put my neck on the block here! I believe the Turbo rear box is different as the B18FT uses a slightly larger pipe diameter. Nothing stopping you purchasing the silencers listed and performing a very slight diameter modification mind. I too have noticed all the Turbo rear boxes slowly va...
