Re: Didn’t pass MOT/TÜV…Spanish ITV
So changed the temp sensor. Nothing at all happened. Still the same. Excuse my ignorance, is it normal that unplugging the MAF connector drops the revs down? Am I looking at a faulty or already manipulated MAF? I can see the plastic covering the regulation screw is gone. Anyone with a working MAF fo...

Re: Didn’t pass MOT/TÜV…Spanish ITV
Well thanks for clearing things up. Now I've touched that golden bolt on the front of the throttle body, thank God I should have another complete throtle body to check for the original "adjustment" of that screw. Don't touch it ever. Anyway I think what it does. The throttle body has this "alternati...

Thanks for the interest.
I will check for every hose and tube integrity asap. I have have ordered a coolant temp sensor and have new spark plugs ready to go in. But I need to try one thing at a time and see how does it affect the issue.
Will report soon what the coolant sensor change does.

There's a pop up lights washer set complete in that car. Washer liquid bottle with 3 pumps and the hoses at least can be seen.

Didn’t pass MOT/TÜV…Spanish ITV
Short version. Did not pass Spanish MOT duo to high CO2 emissions. My non catalyzed 1991 turbo should be around 3.5, it is at 4.2. Along with some other lesser faults. Lately I’ve fiddling around with my ever faulty idle. It used to be around 1000 rpm when cold, but then around 1200-1300 as the engi...

I won't be able to make it from Spain. But if ever any Volvo representative would show up, please remind me him when we tried them to remanufacture rear lights and they looked the other side.

Ed China's new show looks great
As above. I have really enjoyed to see Ed back to the garage. They're restoring a Golf GTI MkI. Not a 480 but sure entertaining to watch.

460 remote central locking would fit a 480?
A friend with a couple of GTs, has found today a 460 turbo "just arrived" at a scrapyard. Aparently this 460 has remote central locking and the remote key was there. So he has taken both door locks wondering if it could be installed in a 480. Although he has tried to follow the cables he couldn't fi...

Re: Manual Gearbox Oil Change - Ins and Outs
Gents. Before I pour this into my gearbox please confirm me this is the correct oil for the Gearbox. I can read it's suitable for Renault JXX boxes. I understand that JB/JC boxes come into that name, right? https://s6.postimg.org/u0f7ce7cx/15208879572001872410215.jpg https://s6.postimg.org/hyjtia8f5...

Re: What size wipers do you use?
I have 21' Bosch Aero twin and fit perfectly. I found in my car, when I rescued her from oblivion back in 2014,that the blades had stretched springs. I replaced them with 440 ones, much more tension on the screen, and now the Bosch wipe well all the area they're meant to cover. Worth checking out.

Re: pop-up lights and other electrical problems
I'm a complete ignorant to electronics, but I don't think neither that DLRs bulbs are related to the pop-up fail. I have LEDs in my 91 Turbo DLRs and all works fine, no warning light on dashboard. The other bulbs that can be replaced by leds are the rear gear lights and the small side blinkers. The ...
